Shrimp & Calamari Burger Marinara



Eating Low Carb? Ketogenic? A healthy change in lifestyle doesn't have to be bland! Using our NEW shrimp and calamari burgers, and Miracle Noodles which are Gluten and Grain-free, You don't have to miss out on the pasta you one loved. -Capt. Denis


INGREDIENTS

• 1 package of Capt. Denis’ Shrimp Burgers, with Calamari

1 package Miracle Noodles (Gluten-Free)

4 teaspoons olive oil

2 shallots

2 cloves garlic

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

One 15-ounce can diced tomatoes

One 15-ounce can tomato sauce

Parmesan Cheese

SHRIMP AND CALAMARI BURGERS

In a medium sauté pan, add 2 teaspoons of olive oil and bring to medium heat. Add frozen burgers and cook for approx. 7 minutes per side. Set aside to add to the Marinara Sauce (see below)

LINGUNI

Try one the many Gluten-Free pastas available. We like Miracle Noodles, which is made from Konjac Flour. Or use your favorite traditional pasta. Cook pasta according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.


MARINARA SAUCE

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. In a food processor, pulse the shallots and garlic until minced. Add shallots and garlic to skillet and sauté for 1 minute. Add oregano, basil and red pepper flakes (we recommend rubbing the herbs as you add them, to release more flavor) and stir to coat. Add the diced tomatoes and tomato sauce and bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 10 minutes. Add the Shrimp & Calamari Burgers, and coat with sauce. Cover skillet and simmer for 1 to 2 more minutes. Pour sauce over linguine, add Burgers and serve with Parmesan Cheese. Happy Valentine's Day!
